The ESA Conference will be held in 'Uni Mail', which is home to the faculty of Social and Economic Sciences of the University of Geneva. Situated in the center of Geneva, Uni-Mail is easily reachable by public transport. The main meeting rooms are equipped with audio-visual and computing facilities.

Airport transfers
The International Airport of Geneva offers direct regular services to more than 80 destinations. One among its advantages is its privileged situation at 4,5 km from the town centre. A rail-link makes it possible to reach the centre in about five minutes. The train is free for all flight passengers. You may also take a taxi (approx. CHF 35) or a bus. You can pick up a free ticket for public transport from the machine in the baggage collection area at the Arrival level. This Unireso ticket, offered by Geneva International Airport, allows you to use public transport in Geneva free for a period of 80 minutes.
Arriving by train
The trains arrive at Cornavin Railway Station, in the centre of Geneva. From there, you can easily reach the hotels and the conference venue by public transport or by taxi.
Registration and information office
The on-site registration and information office will be open during the following hours:
Wednesday 7th of September: from 09:00 am to 19:00 pm
Thursday 8th of September: from 08:00 am to 20:00 pm
Friday 9th of September: from 08:00 am to 20:00 pm
Saturday 10th of September: from 08:00 am to 20:00 pm
If you plan to assist at the Opening Plenary and/or the Welcome Reception on Wednesday the 7th of September at the Victoria Hall, please get your conference badge at Uni-Mail before.
VISA purpose
You may request a visa invitation letter from our Logistic Conference Organizer as part of the on-line registration system – just click on the box and answer the questions that appear. Visa invitation letters cannot be provided until you have registered for the congress.
Conference languages
English is the official language of the conference. Some Reserach networks and streams are open to have some presentations in french. For details please go to "abstract submission".

Low cost accommodation in Geneva
Geneva offers something for everyone. Aside from youth hostels, plenty of establishments offer affordable accommodation at low budgets. Average prices for these accommodations vary from 29 CHF (20 EUR) to 60 CHF (41 EUR) per room per night. Some of the hostels require a minimum stay of 5 nights. Weather
The climate in Switzerland is moderate with no excessive heat, cold or humidity. In autumn, the daytime temperature range is 9 to 20 °C (48° - 68° F).
Money
The Swiss currency is the Swiss Franc (CHF). One Swiss Franc equals about 0.78 Euro. Banks are open Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (Wednesdays 5.30 pm). They are closed Saturdays and Sundays. At other times, money can be exchanged at Cornavin Railway Station, the airport and at most hotels. To convert the CHF into Euros, please click HERE.
Public transport
The public transport system in Geneva is one of the most modern and efficient in Europe, offering 29 urban bus lines, 6 trolley-bus lines and 7 tram lines. The congress venue can be easily reached by bus or by tram from the station or from your hotel. Geneva public transport at www.tpg.ch
If you are staying at a hotel, a youth hostel or a campsite, the establishment will offer you the "Geneva Transport Card" that allows you to use public transport in Geneva free of charge during your stay. Get more information from Genève-Tourisme or the establishment concerned.
